How to Create CounterStrike Online Multiplayer Game Server for Free

As all of us know the famous Multiplayer game Counter Strike is famous for its online gaming and also offline gaming.recently new release of that series was Counter Strike:Global Offensive(CS:GO).
Now the current Gamers are playing that game and enjoying the amazing experience of different levels and different new weapons introduced in that game.

For the Beginners/Naive/Amateur Gamers here is the nice tip how to create your own private server and play online with your friends and be a admin of it.


Just you needed the CounterStrike game and then only you can create a server.

If you dont have it.Counter Strike 1.6 is free download.Click here to Download

Steps How to Create your Own CounterStrike Server


Step1:


Click the Directory in which you installed CS game

Step2:


After selecting the directory--select the Program files folder







Step3:


Select Cs 1.6 folder present in the C:\Programfiles


Step4:




Select the Hlds.exe icon as shown in the figure



Step5:



After Clicking the Hlds icon you will find this dialog box
  1. Game: Select CounterStrike
  2. Server Name: Your Choice of name.Like for Eg:
    This above image has Server name latest-information4u.
  3. Map: Selection of your choice from the scroll list available.
  4. Network : LAN or Internet
  5. Max.Player: 0-32
  6. UDP Port: It varies to place to place.
    For eg: 27015 , 27016 , 27014.
  7. Rcon Password: Any choice of Admin(You).

Starting of  CS Server

Main frame of the server is now opened

Editing the options 

  • Main: Ip address is the Ip of your server,you need to login to that server playing your server.
    Also share with your friends if you have internet/lan facility the same ip displayed in the dialog box as in above image.
  • Configure: Edit your required options.
  • Statistics: Readings about your system data and server data.
  • Players: Players IN/OUT data.
  • Bans: You can add players if you want to add them to ban list.
  • Console:Here you can write all the rcon/admin commands.

      Follow these steps to start your cs gaming in your own server with friends.
      1.Start the server
      2.Open the CS 1.6 Game
      3.Open the console in the game
      4.Type connect "Your server ip address" .Dont use Double quotes
      Or
      Select the find servers option and add server,Then add your server ip address and save it.
      5.Now you'll connect to your server.Then share the same ip address with your friends.

    Hello Chandrashekar,

    If u followed above steps then it is a private server.General Cs players cannot find your server ip.Since it is private.It wont be on the cs servers public list.
    So if you want to play with your mates,then you can share the ip of your server as shown above.
    Then you can play or else no one will be able to connect to your server.

      You can either play in bot mode or multiplayer online mode.
      You can't play with bots and multiplayers at the same time.

    i am able join my server..i have given d ip to my mates, but my mates r not able to c any server wen they type the ip in console or in favourites.
